Q. What types of cleaning can we provide?
A.
Q. Are you affiliated with Molly Maids?
A. There is absolutely no affiliation between The Maids and Molly Maids, Merry Maids, or any other
house cleaning company or franchise around. In the past, we had many customers that have used these other franchises and then
switched over to us. We understand that some customers might want to give many different home cleaners a try for comparison
purposes. We appreciate the fact that customers understand the level of care we have running our business and the value of our
extremely professional home cleaning services.
Q. What is the reason that you use four member teams?
A. Our four member teams have proven to be the most efficient synch so each member of the team can concentrate
on a specific responsibility when they are cleaning in your home. These four primary responsibilities are bathrooms, kitchens,
dusting, and vacuuming. All of these four responsibilities use our unique 22-step Healthy Touch
deep cleaning system. The two member teams that many other cleaning franchises use can't get through the
day as smoothly as our four member teams can.
Q. Why is The Maids worth the money?
A. Every time we clean a customer's home, we are committed to delivering a
complete cleaning package. This includes running world class teams for customer service, being dependable, providing high quality
home cleaning services, and being consistent. We only use commercial grade, high quality grade equipment, which includes our
unique vacuum backpacks and we will also clean all floor in the kitchen and bathroom on hands and knees.
Q. Are you insured and bonded?
A. We carry the best available insurance. In addition, to carrying employee accident, crime, and
liability coverage, we are also bonded. Everybody is covered by The Maids insurance coverage including our team members and your
home. We would gladly send our customers a certificate that confirms our insurance coverage if they want.
Q. Do you pay taxes on payroll?
A. Yes, we pay all our taxes on payroll including workman's compensation,
unemployment taxes, and social security, FICA.
Q. Who supplies the equipment and cleaning products?
A. The Maids always arrives at your home with our own environmentally friendly cleaning products and
equipment in one of our yellow company vehicles. It is only necessary for the customer to open their front door and/or provide
arrangements for the cleaning team to have access to the customer's home. Customers should discuss any special
cleaning products that they would prefer to use with our office staff and we will make sure that the cleaning team is made aware
of the customer's requests.
Q. How much does it cost to have a home cleaned?
A. The time it takes to clean a customer's home determines our fees. The considerations
of time include things such as the level of clutter, the number of people who live in the home, the number of pets, and the size
of the home. Our charges are based on an hourly rate with the time being prorated in five minute increments for first time home
cleanings. There are set prices that depend on how often the customer wants the home cleaned for those customers who are
considering ongoing services. While occasional cleans are based on an hourly rate, there are three different pricing options for
ongoing cleanings which as every four weeks, every other week, and every week.
Q. How can I pay for your home cleaning services?
A. At the time of the home cleaning services, we require payment. We will accept a credit card to hold a
customer's reservation and take American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Customers can pay with an accepted
credit card, a personal check, or by cash. We will request a check for the total estimated amount in addition to tax if the
customer isn't home during our initial visit, and doesn't want to pay with a credit card. Depending on which
the customer prefers, we can either apply any difference to our next home cleaning visit or issue that customer a refund if the
home cleaning takes less time than we had originally estimated. We request that customers leave their payment on the kitchen
countertop for house cleaning visits that are regularly scheduled. We will take care of credit card transactions from our office
for those customers who prefer to pay by credit card. We don't bill our customers after the fact.
Q. Do you guarantee your work?
A. All a customer has to do is call our office within 24 hours of the original home cleaning if the customer
isn't satisfied with the home cleaning that we have done we will re-clean any areas that were not done to
satisfaction for no additional fee. However, we don't provide refunds in cash.
Q. Will you clean a home on the weekends?
A. The Maids is only available to clean a home on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We
don't clean homes on weekends.
Q. When you clean a customer's home, should the customer be home?
A. That is up to the customer. We would rather the customer be at home for the initial home cleaning. The
reason for this is that our home cleaning teams like to meet the customer to go over the customer's cleaning
instructions. The customer and the supervisor can then inspect the customer's home after the first home
cleaning. However, many of our customers simply provide us with their key after they have a regular home cleaning schedule with
us. Some other customers will provide us with the code to a lock box or a garage keypad. Customers can also provide us with
exit/entry codes or turn off the alarm system, if they prefer. The most problem free and efficient method for everybody is for
the customer to give us a house key. This prevents us from having to wait for anybody to arrive. Also, having a key also
eliminates the chance for a lockout and the associated fees for a lockout.
Q. How will you safeguard the customer's keys?
A. Customer's keys will be secured in a lock box. Only the managers in our office will
have access to the lock box. On the day of the customer's home cleaning, the key is issued only to the team
leader. At the end of the day, the team leader will always return the key and management will replace the key back into a secure
lock box. Also, we are insured for re-keying the locks ant for replacing the key in the unlikely event the
customer's key gets lost. In addition, there isn't any identifying information of the key
because all of the keys are assigned a number at random.
Q. Will the customer always have the same cleaning team?
A. For each of a customer's home cleaning visits, we try to provide the same cleaning
team. It is the job of the supervisor to learn about the customer's home and help make sure that our team
members deliver the consistently high quality that the customer and our company expect of them. The customer will usually have
the same maid service cleaning team for each home cleaning visit if that customer is has a regular cleaning schedule with us.
Some customer are more concerned with the time and/or day of arrival and are therefore open to any team available that can meet
their requirements. We will work with our customer's preferences and are somewhat flexible.
Q. Can you tell the customer exactly when the cleaning team will arrive?
A. We will call the customer and inform them of about when the maid service team will arrive at their home
two days prior to the customer's scheduled home cleaning. There are some uncontrollable variables, like
additional time spent at other customer's home and traffic problems that may sometimes prevent us from
providing the customer with exact time of our arrival. However, we can and will call the customer an hour prior to when the maids
team is due to arrive at the customer's home.
Q. Are team members supervised and trained?
A. Initially, our cleaning team members are trained through the use of oral and written testing, hands-on
supervised training and videotapes. Several times a year we provide refresher and ongoing training meetings. Every maid service
cleaning team member has a team supervisor to ensure that all cleaning tasks are properly completed. Our customer
services manager will contact the customer following every cleaning to ensure that everything was cleaned to the
customer's satisfaction. All of our company cars are equipped with GPS tracking devices and all of our home
clean team members are provided with company cell phones to allow our office to be contact with the home cleaning team members at
all times.
